I believe that among those who are viewing this page, there are professional programmers, but I think it is overwhelmingly more common for there to be non-professionals. In the first edition of "Craftsmanship," I would like to share my interpretation of what VB (Visual Basic) is. Additionally, please understand that this "Craftsmanship" series also serves as a record and memo from my years of experience with VB.
My first encounter with VB was in August 2009. I met with programmer Nakano at a private izakaya in Ichigaya, where we had a meeting about wanting to create such software. This led to the development of the first version of Billionaire. At that time, what I thought was that I wanted to quickly create software, which is why I chose VB. If someone had recommended Java to me back then, I might have chosen Java or perhaps a different language altogether. Fate is indeed a mysterious thing. What do I think VB is? And what are its benefits? Here are my thoughts:

◆ The operation is very simple.
◆ Think about the next action after pressing a button.
◆ Various functions can be easily searched on the internet.
◆ Since there are users worldwide, you can ask questions on online forums and get answers.
◆ You can easily share the software you created with others for installation.
